Hello and welcome! My name is Haylee Witt and I am 19 years old. I moved from Valparaiso, Indiana to South Bend, Indiana around the end of July so that I would be able to attend the Interior Design program at Ivy Tech. It has definitely been a huge change for me, but I am starting to enjoy living on my own and being able to experience things in a different perspective.

I wasn't always so interested in interior design. For my first year of college, I went to a university in Grand Rapids, Michigan called Cornerstone University (as seen in the picture below). I really wanted to study music and when i saw their equipment I was blown away! Unfortunately, it wasn't something that I enjoyed. I started thinking about interior design after my father told me about some houses he was flipping. I had always enjoyed placing furniture and decorating so I thought that maybe i could give it a try. I recently got to decorate my own apartment and I absolutely loved it. That made me realize that interior design was the career for me.
